What is Status Quo Defense?

Status Quo Defense is a machine-summarized open-source data pipeline. It aggregates publicly available defense and security reporting, runs it through structured AI evaluation chains, and publishes condensed briefs, timelines, and stakeholder perspectives. Briefs are drafted automatically and link back to their primary sources; our editorial team reviews every brief and editorial: each one is human-reviewed for accuracy and updated when something needs correcting.

What is the pipeline frequency?

Continuous. Collection agents execute on scheduled cron rotations around the clock; new items enter the extraction and evaluation stages as they are collected, and briefs are published as soon as they clear validation. High-priority items are flagged as Breaking as they arrive.

How are errors corrected?

Factual points are cross-checked against multiple agency and press sources before a claim is included in a brief; single-source claims are treated with lower confidence during evaluation. Detected errors reported through the contact form are triaged against the affected brief's source register.

Every brief and editorial is reviewed by a human member of the editorial team for accuracy. When an error is confirmed, the piece is corrected to match its sources.

Advisory: AI-generated summaries can contain errors. Always verify critical facts against the primary source links provided in each brief's source register before acting on them.

Can I request inclusion of new sources?

Yes. Submit the feed through the contact form under the Source Recommendation inquiry domain. Candidate sources are evaluated for reliability and licensing before entering the collection rotation.

How is data verified?

Every published brief carries a full source register linking back to the original open-source reporting it was synthesized from. Verification policy is source-transparency: this site never publishes a claim it cannot attribute, and operators are expected to validate critical items against those primary links rather than treating the summary as an authoritative record.

Does this site use cookies or ads?

Where enabled on this deployment, this site runs Google Analytics and Google AdSense ad units. Analytics is on by default with an opt-out offered on your first visit; ad storage and personalization stay denied until you consent through Google's certified consent management platform. Both choices are revocable via Manage Cookies in the footer. Ads appear only on browsing and article pages — never on this page or the About, Terms, Privacy, or Contact pages. Full detail is in the Privacy Policy.

How does the Saved Articles list work?

No account is required. Selecting the star on any brief adds it to a list kept in your browser's local storage; it never reaches our servers. It's per-device — clearing your browser storage or switching devices clears the list.

Is there an RSS feed?

Yes — one feed per language, linked from the footer, covering the most recent briefs for that language.

How do I see more of this site in Google Search?

Add this site as a preferred source in Google. Use the “Preferred Sources” button in the footer or beside any article while signed in to Google, or open Google’s source preferences directly. Google then shows more of our stories in Top Stories for you; it is a personal preference, not a ranking guarantee.
